Official Home Page of the Ninth Annual GB5K IX: Mark your calendars for The 9th Annual GB5K: Friday December 19, 2008. Sign up will be at 7pm and the "race" starts at 8pm. It will begin at Mex Restaurant, 296 Alexander Street and end at Metro Salon, 25 Gibbs Street, Rochester, NY. GB5K VIII OUR BEST YEAR YET: On 12/21/2007 over 110 participants helped up raise over $1100 for both St. Joseph's House and Camp Daydreams. Read about GB5K VIII at Dale Evans' City Newspaper blog. WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?: The GB5K is a fun, festive, absurd charity event and social gathering. NOTE: It's not a real race. The course is barely a mile. The GB5K is also a tribute to Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life. Each year we storm Rochester's East End, shouting, singing and caroling yule tide slogans, recreating the final scene of the movie.
